Glassy India
Privacy Policy
Plain English, no small print. This page explains what we collect on glassy.in, why we need it, and who else sees it. The short version: we ask for the minimum needed to get you a real quote, and we share it with the suppliers who quote for you — nobody else.
1. What we collect
When you request a quotation or send an enquiry, we collect what you type into the form: your name and phone number (required), and your email, city, budget, requirement and any photos or drawings you attach (all optional). That's it — we don't ask for anything we don't need, and you can browse the whole site without giving us any of it.
2. Why we need it, and who we share it with
This is the important one. Glassy is a matchmaking service, so we pass your requirement and contact details to the verified suppliers, designers or manufacturers we match you with — that is the whole point of asking. They contact you directly to quote. We share only what they need to quote for your job, and only with businesses relevant to that job. We do not sell your details, and we do not hand them to advertisers or data brokers.
3. What suppliers may do with it
Once a supplier has your enquiry, they use it to contact you about that job. Each supplier is a separate business responsible for its own handling of your details. If a supplier contacts you about something you didn't ask for, tell us and we'll take it up with them.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful — visitor numbers, pages viewed, roughly which city and device. We also run Google Ads conversion tracking, which tells us whether someone who arrived from one of our ads went on to make an enquiry. It is only active if you reached us by clicking an ad. We do not build advertising profiles, run retargeting, or sell your details. We also count clicks on listing buttons (like "Call" or "WhatsApp") so we can tell businesses how their listing is performing; that counter records the button and the listing only, with nothing about you attached.
5. Stopping spam
Our forms get hit by bots, so we check each submission. Your IP address is never stored: it is converted into a one-way scrambled code the moment it arrives, and only that code is kept. It can be used to spot a bot submitting the same form repeatedly, and cannot be turned back into your address.
6. Where it is kept, and for how long
Your details are stored on our servers in India and are reachable only by the small Glassy team that handles enquiries. We keep an enquiry for as long as it is useful — to follow up, honour a guarantee, or settle a dispute — and remove it when it no longer is, or sooner if you ask.
7. Your choices
Ask us any time to send you a copy of what we hold, correct something that's wrong, delete your details, or stop contacting you. Email rohit@glassy.in or WhatsApp +91 85500 11196 and we'll action it within 7 days. There is no charge, and it won't affect any quote already in progress. One limit worth knowing: we can't pull back an enquiry a supplier has already received — you'd need to ask them directly too, and we'll tell you who they were.
8. Business accounts
If you claim or manage a listing, we also hold your login (phone number and password) and whatever you publish on your listing page. Listing content is public by design. Your password is stored scrambled, so nobody at Glassy can read it.
9. Children
Glassy is meant for people buying or supplying glass for a property. It isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect their details.
10. Changes and contact
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date below. For anything on this page — including a request to see or delete your details — email rohit@glassy.in or WhatsApp +91 85500 11196. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
